As a Kansas City Portrait & Wedding Photographer…here is my story!

It all started in the summer of 2007 when I was in high school at an engineering internship with my sister in Tulsa. I was on my lunch break when I got a call from my parents that they were traveling to Istanbul, Turkey. I got a little jealous and decided to cut my internship short and join my parents on their trip! Before we left, I had picked up a starter camera from Best Buy with a little help from my tech savvy brother.

My mom prepared me and told me that Istanbul was going to be amazing and that my eyes were going to see things they’ve never seen before. She was absolutely correct! The trip was amazing and I was lucky enough to capture a few photos along the way and share them on social media. From there, people raved about the photos and my passion for photography all began!

Sharing photos from my travel was just simple fun! It eventually turned into my family and friends asking me to take photos for them for their weddings, engagements, family portraits, and other special events. I am a self-taught photographer with a passion! From there, I’ve grown and have created this amazing business called Mariam Saifan Photography.

This adventure in photography has led me to meet amazing clients that have quickly turned into friends. I love what I do as a photographer as it has allows me to serve others and provide great experiences and beautiful portraits to last a lifetime! I truly love what I do and strive to serve and create beautiful work every day! My ultimate goal is to be a destination wedding photographer and to meet new people along the way!
